About us
Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, located within Safranbolu Faculty of Tourism, started its operations in the 2018-2019 academic year.
Its main purpose is; to provide training to students on Kitchen Management, Restaurant Management, Cafe-Bar Management, Food-Beverage Management. Equipped with the knowledge and skills to compete internationally; Another aim of the department is to train expert personnel and executive chefs in national and international Culinary Culture.
Throughout the program, it is aimed to include Turkish Cuisine among International Cuisines by working on Turkish Culinary Culture and then International Cooking.
In this context, during the four-year undergraduate education, students are taught the intricacies of the culinary art from the most basic to the most advanced level, and are provided with the communication and management skills they will need in business life.
At the end of the program, students will not only be able to become managers in food and beverage businesses, but will also have the knowledge to establish their own businesses.
